Due to a rise in violent crime and public safety concerns, convenience store chain Wawa is considering leaving Philadelphia.

The Daily Wire writes, according to a report from the Philadelphia Business Journal, Councilmember Mike Driscoll expressed concern about a recent meeting with Wawa executives, which caused him to fear that millions of dollars in investment and countless jobs might be lost.

As one of the largest food retailers in Greater Philadelphia, Wawa also has locations along the East Coast.

The remarks follow last month’s ransacking of a Wawa in northeastern Philadelphia by nearly 100 young people. A viral video shows the teenagers pushing over shelves, throwing items recklessly across the store, and stealing snacks.

Philadelphia police reported 562 homicides last year, a record number, with murders currently trending slightly behind year-to-date figures.

It’s a sad reality that everything woke turns to shit, businesses are fleeing for their lives. And can you blame them? Look at what’s happening in Philadelphia with Wawa considering leaving town due to violent crime and public safety concerns. From ransacking a store to record levels of murder, it’s clear that this Democrat run city is a hellhole. To any business or individual reading this, my advice is simple: get out while you can. Your life depends on it. Don’t let yourself get caught up in the liberal fantasy that everything will be okay. As we’ve seen time and time again, everything woke ultimately leads to destruction and chaos. It’s time for a new direction – a red wave coming to wash away the mess left behind by Democrats.
