NAILBITER IN IOWA: Latest poll numbers are in – and we should be very concerned

According to the latest poll numbers, Senator Chuck Grassley is leading his opponent by a narrow margin. However, there is still plenty of time for things to change, here’s what we know so far.

The Washington Examiner writes, As he seeks an eighth term, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is only 3 points ahead of Democratic challenger Mike Franken.

Grassley, 89, has 46% of the vote among likely voters, while Franken has 43% based on a new poll conducted by the Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa.

804 Iowans over 18 were surveyed, 620 of whom are likely to vote in the Nov. 8 midterm elections. This poll was conducted Oct. 9 through 12, and it has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points for all Iowans and 3.9 for likely voters.

The poll also found that Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds now has the support of a majority of likely Iowa voters

According to the poll, Reynolds holds a 17-point advantage over Democrat Deidre DeJear, who has 35% support. The Libertarian Party is trailing with 4% of the vote.
