A new campaign ad depicting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) as a “fighter for God” was released last week ahead of Election Day today.

The Hill reports, Governor Ron DeSantis is running for reelection against Democrat Charlie Crist, a former governor and member of Congress. According to polls, DeSantis has a large lead over Crist.

Ron’s wife, Casey DeSantis, shared the ad on Twitter, saying, “On behalf of millions, never stop fighting for freedom.”

In the ad, the narrator quotes Paul Harvey’s 1978 speech entitled “So God Made a Farmer,” which was broadcast on radio.

“And on the eighth day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, ‘I need a protector.’ So God made a fighter,” DeSantis’s ad begins.

This is not the first heartfelt ad the DeSantis campaign has released ahead of the election.

As we reported in October, an ad by DeSantis’ campaign highlighted how the governor helped Florida’s first lady overcome her breast cancer battle.

In the 60-second advertisement, Casey DeSantis discussed how her battle with breast cancer revealed what she believes is the governor’s true character.

As Floridians head to the polls today, they should keep in mind all that Governor Ron DeSantis has done for the state. He is a fighter who has worked hard to protect American values and freedoms. He has also been a strong supporter of the military and law enforcement. In addition, DeSantis has been a champion of school choice and education reform. These are just some of the reasons why Floridians should vote for him today. Voting for DeSantis and other Republican candidates today, Floridians can help to ensure that Florida remains a red state. So if you are a Floridian who cares about the future of your state, be sure to vote for Ron DeSantis today! Help continue to paint Florida red by casting your vote for him and all other Republican candidates on the ballot.
