In the weeks leading up to the midterm elections, President Donald Trump was criticized for stumping for GOP candidates. This week after the election, those incendiary remarks went into overdrive

The Republic Brief reports, as a top supporter of Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz throughout the election, Trump has been criticized by one of his biggest media adversaries, Maggie Hagaman of the New York Times. Oz lost to John Fetterman in a stunning upset, and Hagaman had some things to say which Trump didn’t like, for which he apologized to first lady Melania Trump and Sean Hannity, his media ally.

In a tweet, Haberman reported Trump describing his wife’s support for Oz as “not her best decision,” the NY Post reports.

The mainstream media took this narrative and ran with it.

In a social media post on Thursday, Trump apologized to Melania Trump and Sean Hannity for the “fictional stories.”

Trump wrote, “I’d like to apologize to Melania and Sean Hannity for all of the Fake News and fictional stories (made up out of thin air, with no sources despite them claiming there are!), being dumped on you by reporters and “News” Organizations who know these stories are not true. The Fake News Media is “Crazed” and totally out of control. I only wish the public could understand how really corrupt and crooked they are. They MAKE UP stories and then push them down your throats. Our Country is in big trouble!”

“There is a Fake Story being promulgated by third-rate reporter Maggie Hagaman [sic] of the Failing New York Times, that I am blaming our great former First Lady, Melania, and [Fox News Host] Sean Hannity, that I was angry with their pushing me to Endorse Dr. Oz,” Trump said in another Wednesday morning Truth Social post.

“Oz is a wonderful guy who really worked hard and was a very good candidate, but he WAS LONG IN THE RACE before I ever Endorsed him, [Melania and Hannity] had NOTHING to do with it, he was not a ‘denier’ (his mistake!), & I was not at all ANGRY,” he said.

The media has been on a mission to take Trump down ever since he announced his candidacy for president years ago. They have accused him of everything from being a racist to a Russian puppet, but Trump has always fought back and emerged victorious. This week, the media went after two of Trump’s closest allies: his wife Melania and FOX News host Sean Hannity. However, instead of backing down, Trump flipped the narrative by apologizing to Melania and Sean for the “fictional stories” that have been spread about them. By doing this, Trump has shown that he will not be intimidated by the media’s tactics and that he is still committed to Making America Great Again. Nothing can stop the Trump train!
