Pelosi Just Got Fired! Now We Have Another Problem With Who Was Just Nominated to Replace Her

Goodbye, Pelosi! In the House of Representatives, Republicans won a majority. It has finally happened: the GOP has gained 218 seats in the US House. There are still 14 races to be resolved, so the final count for the 118th Congress is uncertain.

House Republicans nominated Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as speaker of the House on Tuesday.

According to FOX News, Washington lawmakers voted behind closed doors during a closed-door meeting. McCarthy was nominated as speaker by 188 Republicans during the closed-door vote, while 31 Republicans opposed his nomination.

If the entire 435 members of the House are seated and voting in January, McCarthy will need at least 218 votes to become speaker.

As noted by FOX however, having so many people opposed to him could cause trouble.

“Losing 31 means he is in serious danger of not having the votes in January which would mean he’d need to drop out either that day or he could decide to before,” said a senior aide to GOP leadership. “At that point, others would pounce.”

In the meantime, though, McCarthy is celebrating the nomination.

On Twitter, Kevin McCarthy wrote, “As Speaker—I will take action to fix what Nancy Pelosi so badly broke. House Republicans’ work begins immediately: • Deliver on our Commitment to America • Hold this Administration accountable • Stop the Biden agenda.”

And, as it was official that Republicans now control the House, McCarthy cheered that the “ era of one-party rule in Washington is over.”

Meanwhile, Christina Laila provided 9 perfect reasons why we should be very concerned about McCarthy becoming speaker of the house.

1.) Kevin McCarthy: “We’re not going to impeach Joe Biden.”

2.) Kevin McCarthy recommended President Trump resign after January 6 protests that killed four Trump supporters… Then he lied about it.

3.) McCarthy spent millions to defeat pro-Trump Republicans.

4.) McCarthy booed at Trump rally.

5.) Kevin McCarthy following 2020 election, “I Don’t Think Anybody is Questioning the Legitimacy of the Election… It’s Over With”

6.) McCarthy pushed RINO Tim Scott for president.

7.) McCarthy blamed President Trump for January 6 riot.

8.) McCarthy voted with Democrats to outsource US jobs.

9.) Kevin McCarthy helped sabotage MAGA favorite Madison Cawthorn’s re-election effort.

While it is good news that Nancy Pelosi is out as House Speaker, the bad news is that Kevin McCarthy has been nominated to replace her. McCarthy is a RINO who is willing to do the bidding of the swamp monsters in Washington DC. This is a repeat of the situation with Paul Ryan, who was a roadblock to the Trump “America First” agenda. It is critical that McCarthy never holds the gavel. We need an “America First” House Speaker who will stand up to the swamp and put America first. Otherwise, we will continue to see the same problems we have seen in the past four.
