Speculation has been growing since Desnatis won his reelection as Governor of the state of Florida, that he will be running for President in 2024.

Newsmax reports, Before his Jan. 3 inauguration, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis plans to meet with donors in Miami to discuss his future plans.

An event called “The Freedom Blueprint” will be held by the governor and his wife, Casey DeSantis.

During his official reelection campaign and the Friends of Ron DeSantis statewide political action committee, DeSantis raised $200 million, a record amount for 2022.

The majority of that cash is held in reserve, and some speculate that it could serve as the foundation for a presidential run by DeSantis, whose top contributors include Robert Bigelow, owner of Budget Suites of America, and Citadel CEO Ken Griffin.

While the governor is considering holding events for local donors in other parts of the state, this weekend’s event is limited to a few South Florida residents who contributed to DeSantis’ campaign.

However, DeSantis is still undecided about challenging former President Donald Trump in 2024, according to those who have spoken with him. It is expected that any announcement will likely occur in May, at the end of Florida’s legislative session.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dismissed speculation about a GOP civil war. As he spoke, DeSantis avoided talking about the 2024 election, telling reporters to “chill out.”

The remarks came in response to a question about recovery efforts following Hurricane Ian.

DeSantis concluded by saying he was focused on what more he could do to make his state the best in the country.

Ron Desantis is an excellent governor, and the job he has been doing to combat the woke culture is legendary. But with Trump officially in the “ring” for the 2024 bid for the White House it is clear that Trump still holds the biggest advantage in the Presidential race. With the failing economy, wars on every front, and massive inflation we need a president that can fix all of the economic issues. While Desantis has done a spectacular job running the state, it is unclear how his foreign policy would be, or his economic front would be handled. That is not saying he wouldn’t make an excellent president. Regardless of the outcome of a 2024 primary between Trump and Ron Desantis, America would clearly be the winner.
