Wasn’t this Democrat Congressman not told the rules when becoming a democrat politician? That’s okay he’s from Texas, that’s why.

The first rule of the democratic national convention. Another democrat never calls on his fellow lawmakers to answer for suspicious donations. Democrat Henry Ceullar wants all lawmakers to return donations they received from FTX. How dare he!

Daily Caller reports, Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar said Wednesday that politicians should donate any donations they receive from former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried.

In case you don’t believe me, because I can barely believe it myself, let’s watch the video together.

Wow, a democrat with some morals. That’s rare.

Bankman-Fried ran the now-defunct crypto-currency exchange FTX until it declared bankruptcy November 11 after Coindesk alleged that customer funds were misused. Apparently, he lent $10 billion to Alameda Capital, a company he also ran, and was planning to donate $1 billion to Democratic causes.

Before Bankman-Fried’s arrest, a lot of eyes were on both him and his close relationship with congresswoman and chair of the financial committee, Maxine waters.

Yahoo reported that California Rep. Maxine Waters announced in a press release that Bankman-Fried would be unable to testify Tuesday, when he was due to answer the House committee’s questions about the collapse of FTX.

Maxine wrote in her press release, “We received confirmation this afternoon from Mr. Bankman-Fried and his lawyers that he was still planning to appear before the Committee tomorrow, but then he was arrested.”

She added, “although Mr. Bankman-Fried must be held accountable, the American public deserves to hear directly from Mr. Bankman-Fried about the actions that’ve harmed over one million people, and wiped out the hard-earned life savings of so many.”

“The public has been waiting eagerly to get these answers under oath before Congress, and the timing of this arrest denies the public this opportunity.”

This all came after she expressed shock at his arrest. She said, “I am surprised to hear that Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas at the direction of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. It’s about time the process to bring Mr. Bankman-Fried to justice has begun.

It is absurd that a member of congress would be shocked when the law is finally upheld when many were demanding his arrest but did not believe it would actually happen.

Especially after she basically invited him on a date with a soft request to appear in front of Congress.

Unfortunately, it is likely that the $38 million donated to the Democratic Party for the midterms will never be returned to the customers who it rightfully belongs too. Taking legal action to track down which individuals received funding from FTX would take years, if ever agreed upon, especially when considering that there are billions of dollars already unaccounted for in the scandal. It is not nearly sufficient simply to donate these funds to a charity, as no one should be able to hide behind such hollow altruism after committing such wrongdoing and profiting immensely off of innocent victims. Freeing those funds back into circulation will do far more good than any charity. Something must be done to return some of the money lost back to the victims.
