Another One Bites the Dust: CNN Loses Another Anchor

After years of fake news debacles and President Trump’s disdain for CNN, the cable news network is quickly crumbling in popularity. Now, according to new reports, yet another major  name is leaving the network.

It’s hardly surprising that CNN is tanking in popularity. Their biased reporting and shoddy journalism, pushed heavily through their ‘Fake News Network’ moniker by President Trump, has caught up to them. The latest example of this has been yet another anchor leaving the network – one among many others who have cut ties with CNN due to the insane bias at the network, low ratings and for peddling fake news. It’s no wonder why CNN continues to plummet in ratings and credibility; it appears that CNN isn’t quite the success they were hoping for.

Western journal reports, CNN is clutching at straws, so departing anchor Ana Cabrera is grabbing some peacock feathers.

She announced her departure from CNN on Thursday.

Ana Cabrera Tweeted ““Goodbyes are hard. Thank you CNN for everything. (My final show will be a week from today, Dec. 22) I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career, and excited for new opportunities, challenges, and growth to come!”

Although she did not mention her next stop, reports from Variety, the New York Post and the Los Angeles Times – based on sources they did not name – said Cabrera would be heading to NBC Universal’s MSNBC. This move to a direct competitor cannot please CNN.

Ana Cabrera would be the 3rd large name to leave CNN in just 2 weeks.

Western Journal reports, Barbara Starr, CNN Pentagon correspondent, is leaving the network, according to colleagues.

CNN’s senior media reporter Oliver Darcy posted the news on Twitter. According to him, Starr announced to colleagues that she will be leaving CNN after her contract expires: “I have decided to move on.”

Jon Adler, senior vice president of program development for CNN Originals, is also departing according to Western Journal.

Until President Trump’s disdain for CNN and their long-standing reputation for spreading fake news, CNN had held its own – until the people woke up. With the recent departure of anchor Ana Cabrera, along with the disastrous ratings battle between CNN and Fox News, CNN is quickly becoming an afterthought in the media world. Coupled with President Trump’s 2024 bid, CNN faced an uphill battle that it just wasn’t prepared to fight.  Now it appears CNN has no choice but to lie low and watch as their years of false reporting catches up with them. Adios CNN!
