People from all walks of life from around the world watched, enjoyed, and commented on the historic 2022 FIFA World Cup Final – which saw Argentina taking home the trophy after defeating France.
There was one prominent person who was clearly watching: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a congresswoman from New York.
Despite the fact that most Americans stopped paying attention when America was out of the tournament, Rep. AOC and her fiancé Reily couldn’t get enough of it.
Their reaction to Argentina winning was so real, they set up a tripod to record it.
One Twitter user called the Congresswoman’s decision to set up a camera to record their reaction as “Textbook narcissistic personality disorder.”
Another person tweeted at AOC, “Don’t act like you watched any World cup games.”
Many people were astounded to see Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her fiance Riley boarding the bandwagon of pretend soccer fans during the FIFA World Cup. Ocasio-Cortez went as far as to set up a camera on a tripod in order to document their response to Argentina’s winning goal, which was called narcissistic personality disorder by one Twitter user. Whether they were trying to garner attention or were just being fake fans, it was something truly unbelievable. Nonetheless, they rocked Twitter with their attempt at being soccer fans, much to the amusement of many.
