Gov. Noem Demands Answers After Democratic Party Do The Unthinkable

Governor Noem is in shock and demanding answers from the Democratic Party after an outrageous move by their partisan J6 Committee. This  committee has already come under fire for wasting tax-payer money on foolish agendas – but their recent stunt should not only cost people their jobs, but land some of them in jail.

Gov. Kristi Noem is rightfully outraged after her own family’s social security numbers were leaked due to a careless action of the federal government. As such, she’s seeking real answers and accountability in order to ensure that this kind of violation of privacy never happens again – not only for herself but all individuals whose lives have been put at risk by this incident. Whether intentional or accidental, this kind of behavior is unacceptable and should absolutely never be tolerated. Those involved in the act must be held accountable.

Daily Wire report, Gov. Kristi Noem has questions after the federal government leaked her and her family members’ social security numbers in public records released by a House committee on January 6.

On Friday, Noem shared the letter her lawyers sent to federal agencies to demand a response to the publicly disclosed information.

Tweet reads: My lawyers have asked the @WhiteHouse, the @USNatArchives, and @BennieGThompson which of them is responsible for leaking the Social Security Numbers of me, my husband, my 3 kids, and my son-in-law.

What specific measures and remedies will be taken to protect our identities?

Noem’s leaked social security number was posted with the private information of nearly 2,000 others in the December 2020 White House visitor’s file.

In the letter the lawyers state, “The National Archives produced these visitors logs, which then became exhibits during the January 6 Committee hearing. Prior to being published as exhibits, the law required that Protected Personal Information be redacted from the visitor logs, but that was not done.”

Among its arguments, the letter argued that publication of the governor’s private information and that of her family violates the Privacy Act of 1974. A response from those involved is requested by January 13.

When the hearings were coming to an end, Kevin McCarthy sent out a letter to the J6 committee warning them to preserve all records from the hearing.

In a letter dated November 30, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) demanded that the committee preserve all records related to its investigation on January 6.

Part of the letter reads, “The official Congressional Records do not belong to you or any member, but to the American people, and they are owed all the information you gathered – not merely the information that comports with your political agenda.”

It is essential that each member of the committee at fault for this dreadful breach of privacy should be held accountable. Even in cases where the action was unintentional, steps must be taken to ensure something like this won’t happen again. We cannot forget, however, the truly sinister possibilities that this sort of behavior opens up; if our opponents can access and leak personal information, who is to say they won’t do it to conservative private citizens? Punishing those responsible would only be just if it is proven they had malicious intent. Protecting ourselves against oppressive practices and ensuring every person’s right to privacy must take priority. This was uncalled for.
