After the events of the past year, the social media world is about to be rocked yet again. Former President Donald Trump is said to be plotting a grand return to the platforms that infuriated the liberal left: Facebook and Twitter. Expected in the near future, Trump’s return has long been teased by the former president, causing speculation among his supporters and panic among the opposition. The exact details are yet unclear, but the one thing that is certain is the liberal heads that will explode when the first tweet or post from the former president erupts onto the scene. The social media world is about to explode along with the heads of liberal politicians like Rep. Adam Schiff, as Donald Trump petitions the fascists at Facebook and attempts to resume tweeting. Thanks to the ever-questionable news source NBC News, we have been made aware that the Trump campaign wrote a letter to Meta on Tuesday, saying the ban on the President’s account has “dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse.”
As always, the far-left opposes this move, but luckily newly-installed Twitter owner Elon Musk has freed up the airwaves for the former President by unblocking his account. If the reports from NBC News are true – which is a gamble to be sure – then Trump’s team is currently “workshopping” ideas for his first tweet back on the big networks of Facebook and Twitter. It’s only a matter of time before the conservative side of social media rejoices in the return of President Donald J. Trump!
On CBS News Katie Harbath, founder and CEO of Anchor Change and Facebook’s former director of public policy expressed her concerns that his return would spark violence calling it “precedent setting”.
Former President Donald Trump is obviously gearing up for the 2024 presidential election. Unlike the majority of the people running for office, Trump already has the ability to directly reach millions of voters via the impressive 88 million followers he has on Twitter – and the numbers continue to grow. This means the social media world is about to explode along with liberal heads as the former president takes advantage of the opportunity to communicate directly with the people again. With his formal request to Facebook for his accounts to be restored, the media landscape is surely in for a wild ride that no one is prepared for.
