Rep. Adam Schiff has had a shifty career in Congress that finally came to an end as Speaker Kevin McCarthy booted him off the House Intelligence Committee earlier this week. Now, political watchdog group FACT is calling for an immediate investigation into his Senate candidacy, over misuse of government materials.

Conservative brief reports, recently California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff was booted off the House Intelligence Committee by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).

FACT -Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust- filed an ethics complaint against Schiff on Friday, requesting an investigation into how he used video footage from the Senate floor in an advertisement to advertise his bid for a U.S. Senate seat likely to be vacated by Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

FACT released a statement on shifty Schiff’s misuse of government property.

Newsmax reports, ethics watchdog group sent the complaint to OCE’s chief counsel and requested an investigation into whether Schiff “abused official resources for political purposes” by using the video.

Kendra Arnold, executive director of FACT, said in a statement “This is a clear violation of House ethics rules and federal law, Rep. Schiff has been in Congress for over two decades and undoubtedly knows that official government resources cannot be used for political purposes. Rep. Schiff must immediately take down the video and cease distribution of the footage, and the Office of Congressional Ethics should move swiftly to investigate and sanction Rep. Schiff for this breach.”

According to Schiff’s campaign, no ethics rules were broken because the video was taken on the Senate floor, not the House.

A campaign spokesperson stated “House ethics rules prohibit the use of House floor or committee footage for campaign purposes — the rules do not apply to footage from the Senate, which is what was used in Congressman Schiff’s video, no footage from any House proceeding was used in the video, and Congressman Schiff was fully in compliance with House ethics guidelines.”

Video footage from the House and Senate cannot be used for campaign purposes, according to FACT.

Congressman Adam Schiff’s shifty behavior just keeps getting worse. After being taken off the House Intelligence Committee, a new ethics probe has been initiated against him due to footage of the Senate floor he used for an ad announcing his bid for a U.S. Senate seat. It’s beyond shifty and slimey behavior- it’s indicative of someone who lacks integrity and clearly hates America. It looks like Schifty Schiff needs to retire and do the country a favor by getting out of politics ASAP.
