‘Life After Covid’: Expose Democrats’ Plans For America

As the Covid-19 pandemic fades, all Americans are looking to get back to normal. However, in a shock 221-206 vote, the Democrats have voted against a GOP bill that would require government workers to return to their office and end the telework policy put in place during the pandemic.

Unfortunately, there are still some Democrats trying to get in the way of progress, as it does not fit their narrative they have been using for years now.

Townhall reports, the Covid-19 pandemic has ended. It’s back to business as usual, people are back to living their everyday lives without mandates. Democrats, however, are still holding on to one aspect of the government shutdown besides the control of power.

Just three Democrats voted in favor of the bill, titled Stopping Home Office Work’s Unproductive Problems or SHOW UP Act, which passed 221-206 on Wednesday.

A Republican bill that would have required federal workers to return to their offices, ending a Covid policy that allows telework, was defeated by 205 Democrats.

Watch.

There is a lot of pushback on this bill from the Democrat side of the aisle.

Government Executive writes. During the pandemic, federal employees engaged in telework were not working, according to Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., and he pointed out that the private sector is also increasingly using telework on a permanent basis, citing a study that found 82% of companies will work in a hybrid environment “moving forward”

According to Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., Republicans are not seeking to improve government services for Americans, but rather to reinstate Trump’s draconian cuts to telework.

Connolly stated “This bill literally rolls back the clock to 2019, What was the state of federal telework in 2019? President Trump’s administration had instituted across the board limitations on telework then, particularly at major agencies that had previously made progress on the issue, like the Education and Agriculture departments, while the overall participation rate actually dropped for the first time since the passage of the [2010 Telework Enhancement Act].”

White house press secretary Karine Jean Pierre was asked point blank if Biden would veto this bill, and she pulled her usual stunts.

The Covid-19 pandemic may be over, but it doesn’t feel like it. Even though we are back to a normal way of life, the Democrats are doing everything they can to keep us in the same pandemic restrictions-and now that includes forcing federal workers to stay at home. This draconian move is yet another example of government overreach and lies from the left, and does nothing more than get in the way of our plans for getting back to normal. We need fewer obstructions from Washington, not more–we must get rid of this kind of tyranny and get back to what made America great: smaller government and a respect for individual liberties.
