With the recent Republican sheriffs in Congress, President Biden’s policies are facing immense pressure. Amongst these, perhaps one of the most pressing is his handling of the border crisis. For two years now, the agents tasked with protecting our national borders have been hampered from fully performing their job responsibilities. Nonetheless, this change in leadership has opened up a chance for these dedicated individuals to exercise their First Amendment Rights and finally have their voices heard.
The House Oversight Committee held a hearing Tuesday morning about the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. Under questioning from Republicans, Tucson Sector Border Patrol Chief John Modlin and others are singing like birds. The crisis is being fueled by President Joe Biden’s catch-and-release illegal immigration policies. These policies are putting a strain on our resources and putting American lives at risk. The Border Patrol testifying should give Americans the truth this Administration has been trying to lie about.
Town Hall reports,
During a hearing Tuesday morning, members of the House Oversight Committee discussed President Biden’s catch-and-release policies regarding illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border.
During questioning from Republicans, Tucson Sector Border Patrol Chief John Modlin, who Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas tried to prevent from testifying, stated that he has run out of adjectives to describe the unprecedented situation.
TAKE A LOOK at what the border chief had to say about the border crisis.
In response to the speechless word of the border chief, Rep. Pat Fallon tweeted the words: “I believe the word Chief Modlin is looking for is “catastrophic”. House Democrats spent 2 years trying to hide testimonies like this from the world — those days are over.”
As part of its report, the Committee cited the record of 98 known terrorists who crossed into the United States illegally last year, which represented only a small fraction of the more than 500,000 people who crossed without detection.
America must take the threat of terrorism seriously, especially when it comes to our borders. It is imperative that we recognize the danger of even one terrorist facing unchecked entry into our country and commit to taking every possible step to prevent it. We cannot afford for a single enemy to slip through the cracks and cause us harm. 98 terrorist crossing our boundaries with detection represents an alarming crisis, particularly in light of our current administration’s seeming lack of concern. Imagine how many we allowed in undetected.Â
