How One Woman’s Loss Became A Political Scandal: The Sam Brinton Affair

Asya Khamsin, a renowned fashion designer, recently exposed Biden appointee Sam Brinton for his shocking crime: stealing several pieces of luxury luggage belonging to Khamsin.

In an outrageous scandal, fashion designer Asya Khamsin has exposed DOE official Sam Brinton for what he truly is – a thief and a disgrace to the Biden administration, with numerous accounts of cultural appropriation and stolen luggage.

Washington Examiner reports, according to a Tanzanian fashion designer, Biden’s former nuclear waste official wore outfits from luggage she lost last year.

Sam Brinton, the former deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, is currently facing charges of stealing the luggage of two women.

According to Houston fashion designer Asya Khamsin, Brinton’s thefts may have been even more widespread than previously thought.

The fashion designer took to twitter to express her outrage after seeing Brinton in her clothes. She tweeted “My name is Asyakhamsin tanzanian fashion designer  based in houston Texas USA 🇺🇸 I lost my bag 2018 in DCA  recently I heard the news on @FoxNews  about @sambrinton luggage issue surprisingly I found his images wore my custom made outfits which  was in the lost bag in 2018”

Pictures of her wearing the custom-made outfits were posted next to pictures of Brinton wearing a similar dress. Then she posted a picture of Brinton wearing custom jewelry she said she had lost.

In a tweet she lamented “Even this jewelry was in my lost bag dah”

Asya stated during an interview “I saw the images. Those were my custom designs, which were lost in that bag in 2018, He wore my clothes, which was stolen.”

She reported the incident to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department and Houston Police Department, as well as to Delta Air Lines, but the case has not been resolved.

On Feb. 15, Brinton was released without bail by a Minnesota court. There is a possibility that Brinton could be sentenced to five years in prison and fined $10,000 if found guilty.

Previously, the Department of Energy confirmed Brinton’s dismissal on Dec. 12 last year, but refused to elaborate.

However, apparently the FBI got involved in the stolen bag incident.

Khamsin’s husband told Fox news “Houston police, I guess, they [sent] the case to the FBI in Minnesota, He called to say, ‘I’m [with] the FBI, I’m working on this case.’ Then my wife gave him the information and we didn’t hear anything. We don’t know whether the case is on. We don’t know whether the case is cold.”

A spokesperson for the FBI declined to comment, citing its policy against confirming or denying investigations. Brinton has not been charged with any crime related to Khamsin’s allegations at the time of publication.

Brinton was allegedly dressed in the clothing he had stolen from Khamsin on multiple occasions, deeply offending her sense of cultural pride. This is an disgraceful act and it’s clear that Brinton is a scumbag who has committed a grave offense and should face punishment accordingly. Members of the public have felt immense anger and disappointment in the Biden administration for failing to vet their appointees properly and are calling on them to investigate this matter. The story has already gone viral on Twitter, with culture enthusiasts asking tough questions about how such a thief could be allowed into public service. It remains to be seen how far reaching the repercussions of this scandal will go, but they won’t soon be forgotten.
