The Ugly Truth About Open Borders And Public Education: A Wake-Up Call

A recent Rasmussen Reports survey on immigration and local education has revealed shocking truth: A plurality of working class Americans are considering illegal immigration as the reason behind failing schools.

The truth must be told: Biden’s failed immigration policies have resulted in illegal aliens entirely usurping the focus of our public schools.

Breitbart reports, workers in the United States believe illegal immigration has hurt their local school systems, according to a new survey.

According to a Rasmussen Reports survey, 40 percent of Americans earning less than $30,000 say illegal immigration has affected their local schools, while 41 percent said the same of those earning between $30,000 and $50,000.

Among working class, middle class, and upper-middle class Americans, less than 10 percent say illegal immigration has made their local schools better, while 34 to 45 percent say there has not been much of an impact.

The arrival of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) and other migrant kids arriving with illegal parents makes 37 percent of Americans feel that their local schools are worse off as a result of illegal immigration.

Fewer than 40 percent of all Americans say illegal immigration has had a significant impact on their local schools.

With illegal immigrants flooding our schools, Democrats are unable to explain how illegals actually help the economy.

Breitbart notes, according to Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), Democrats cannot explain how illegal alien workers flooding the United States labor market every year improve lives for Americans.

McClintock explained how waves of illegal immigration affect the quality of life, public schools, job prospects, wages, social services, and public safety for working and middle class Americans during a recent hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

A Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report released in 2020 admitted that immigration has exerted downward pressure on wages of relatively low-skilled workers already in the country.

The report comes after years of extensive research by economists like George Borjas and analyst Steven Camarota reveals that current immigration levels burden U.S. taxpayers and America’s working and middle class, while distributing $500 billion of wealth each year to corporate special interests and newly arrived immigrants.

It is undoubtedly clear that illegal immigration to the United States has made our local schools worse off. This truth must be told despite the current administration’s failed promises of providing a better education system. Americans rightfully want secure borders, and when these working class citizens say their schools have suffered, we must pay attention! Biden has blatantly failed America and now it appears that we must face the reality of decreased resources and funds due to UACs and other migrants inundating our country through illegal pathways. We need no more proof — illegal immigration is damaging our school systems, and truth must be told.
