Controversial liberal author Marianne Williamson has shocked many with her announcement that she will be launching a second bid for the US presidency in 2024.
With liberal agenda items, far left positions, and woke antics making headlines during this election cycle, it’s hard to tell if Williamson is serious or simply stirring the pot.
Daily wire reports, a longtime author, lecturer, and self-help guru, Marianne Williamson, is launching another bid for the Democratic nomination for president after losing her first campaign in 2020.
In the 2020 primary debates, Williamson garnered attention, but she dropped out before the vote. Williamson later endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Williamson took to twitter to make her announcement official stating “ Marianne Williamson is running for President”
Williamson, who was born in Houston, is Jewish, making her the first Jewish nominee for a major American political party if elected. She studied for two years at Pomona College, although she subsequently dropped out. She published her first book in 1992, and spent much of the 1990s and 2000s as a frequent television guest on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” among other popular programs.
While Williamson takes her bid for the White House Seriously, many democrats and pundits do not.
Fox news reports, Marianne Williamson, a spiritual adviser and best-selling author, is facing backlash from within her own party after announcing over the weekend that she would confront President Biden in 2024.
During her campaign kickoff event at Union Station in Washington, D.C., Williamson drew the ire of some Democrats who were more than willing to ignore her candidacy and support someone else like Biden, who will be nearly 82 at the next presidential election.
Aaron Parnas, a Democratic activist and American lawyer, criticized those attempting to legitimize Williamson’s candidacy, calling Biden a “revolutionary” president.
Parnas stated “The media needs to stop legitimizing Marianne Williamson’s campaign for President, President Biden has been one of the most revolutionary Presidents in recent history and has the full support of Democrats across America. There is no legitimate primary. Biden is our nominee.”
Mayer, the founder and executive director of Voters of Tomorrow, downplayed Williamson’s announcement, calling it a “joke” with a financial motive.
“Let’s be clear: Marianne Williamson is a joke,” Mayer wrote. “She’s a fundamentally unserious candidate running as a stunt to sell her books.”
The first Democrat with a national following to challenge the 80-year-old president is Williamson, who called for reparations and a Department of Peace during her unsuccessful 2020 Democratic presidential nomination campaign.
Williamson was an unconventional candidate who preached love as a political philosophy. She emphasized “six pillars for a season of moral repair,” including economic justice. She proposed creating a Department of Children and Youths and a Department of Peace, and she pushed for reparations for the descendants of African-American slaves. Among her unorthodox acts was holding a meditation session while campaigning in New Hampshire.
Marianne Williamson arriving back on the Democrat nomination scene is nothing short of a joke. It’s clear that liberal agenda, woke antics and far left dreams are less a vision for America and more a book selling ruse. We are reminded of her 2020 campaign that failed to make any inroads. Her liberal ideas have been tried before and yet we still have an economy struggling under the weight of oppressive liberal policies. We need to keep 2022 and 2024 focused on Trump if we’re serious about getting America’s economy back onto rails. This farcical endeavor by Williamson should be consigned to the dustbin and instead everyone should refocus their energies towards pushing for a Republican victory in 2024.5
