Recently, another train derailed in North Dakota, and while many are worried about the toxic materials it was carrying, the good news is that this incident could have been much worse.
Bad leadership and a failure to act in the face of blatant greed by corporations seems to be the cause for this derailment, a reminder that Biden’s policies aren’t doing enough to reign in big business.
We Love Trump reports, late Sunday night, a train hauling hazardous materials derailed in North Dakota. Thirty-one cars derailed and some leaked petroleum used to make asphalt. Public safety is not at risk, officials said.
Canadian Pacific said in a statement that the Canadian Pacific train derailed around 11:15 p.m. about a mile southeast of Wyndmere in Richland County. No injuries were reported.
Officials said 31 of the 70 cars derailed, some carrying hazardous materials, and crews identified a leak of liquid asphalt. No fires were caused by the derailment.
The company said hazardous materials experts were continuing to assess the scene and work with first responders.
WZFG reported that crews will allow the cold weather to solidify the leaked materials, which will become a gel.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet that 158 and 159 Avenue Southeast will be closed between Highway 13 and 14.
The cleanup is expected to last between seven and 10 days, local reports said.
As concerns over railroads remain high following the derailment of about 50 cars in East Palestine, Ohio, in early February in which hazardous materials were spilled and residents were evacuated, this derailment marks the latest train derailment in the US.
Another day, another train derailment– this time in North Dakota. With the Biden Administration’s failure to properly secure regulation, it seems not a week goes by without another preventable tragedy. This particular wreck caused toxic chemicals to leak into the environment, and with bad leadership comes a heavy price. We can only ask who will pay for these disasters? Fire Mayor Pete, that is a start? Burt no– this one rests on Joe Biden’s door step. It’s both a scary and sad sight to see greed directly causing detriment to our shared environment– but for now we can take a breath of relief that it wasn’t worse than it could have been.
