In early May, Republicans subpoenaed the FBI for a document possibly containing evidence of a criminal scheme involving Biden. Even though lawmakers demanded the document by May 10, the FBI has continued to refuse, citing reasons to withhold the unclassified documents. Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) and other Republican officials express their intent to hold Wray in contempt of Congress for his lack of compliance.
Some individuals are calling for more extreme actions, suggesting Wray should be impeached or imprisoned.
