Micki Witthoeft, 58, took part in a Memorial Day march from the Capitol to the D.C. jail to honor her fallen daughter, Ashli Babbitt. This individual used a megaphone to shout obscenities at Witthoeft and other demonstrators. This is not the first time Witthoeft has faced arrest. Previously, Capitol Police apprehended her in January on the anniversary of her daughter’s death. At that time, she was attempting to lay flowers at the Capitol in Babbitt’s memory when she was accused of “illegally blocking traffic” and failing to “obey an order.” However, those charges were later dropped.
