On Tuesday evening, Huguenot High School’s class of 2023 students and their loved ones gathered at the Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia, for a momentous occasion – high school graduation. As people were rejoicing in this accomplishment, gunshots shattered the atmosphere of happiness in a nearby park. The aftermath left 18-year-old Shawn Jackson and his 36-year-old father, Lorenzo “Renzo” Smith, dead. The two were pronounced deceased shortly after the attack.
