Kyle Rittenhouse became a household name in 2020 when he fatally shot two men and injured a third while at a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was brutally attacked by the media, the President and celebrities before and during his trial with a rush to judgment. The jury, who heard all the facts, acquitted him of all charges.
Since his trial ended, Rittenhouse has talked about suing the media and others for defamation. He needs money to hire lawyers to do that, so he created a video game. His new game involves a shooter who takes down turkeys labeled as things like “Fake News” and MSNDC. The video game is available for pre-order for $9.99 on Rittenhouse’s website www.RittenhouseGame.com.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, aka PETA, got wind of Rittenhouse’s and, of course, got offended. Specifically, PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said this:
“Kyle Rittenhouse is right that fake news is a scourge that often results in real-life harm and death, but in these times especially, we need to protect and respect all—not promote more violence through a video game advocating shooting turkeys, who bother no one and are thinking, feeling birds who look after their brood and, when not factory farmed, have full and interesting lives that they value. We’re sending Rittenhouse a box of Tofurky roasts along with a request that he find an inanimate object to shoot if he’s determined to shoot at all.“

It looks like the people at PETA are either bored or want attention and hope to get it off of the coattails of Kyle Rittenhouse. Is there anything wrong with his game or why he made it in the first place?
