First Lady Jill Biden got together with the Surgeon General Tuesday, to put out a message that her husband is “working around the clock” to solve the baby formula crisis. It didn’t go as she planned.
Jill Biden began: “Becoming a mom or dad means falling in love deeper than you ever thought possible and in those first few months of sleepless nights, of endless diapers and dirty dishes and worrying about every little danger, your love can feel like the only thing that keeps you going. It’s hard.”
She continued: “But when that tiny hand takes your finger, you know that it’s worth everything. I want you to know that you’re doing an incredible job—even if you don’t always feel that way. And I know you are worried about how you are going to feed your baby. The president sees you and he hears you, and his team is working around the clock to get you what you need.”
Then Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy chimed in: “You should know that the president has been working tirelessly to increase the supply.”
Dr. Murthy acted like he knows how parents feel because he is the parent of young children. But his kids are 4 and 5, so he really doesn’t. Yet he went on: “You should know that the president has been working tirelessly to increase the supply. He’s worked with manufacturers to increase their production capacity. He’s also worked those same manufacturers and the FDA to get the closed factory back online with strict safety standards. And finally, he’s worked with the FDA and partners to import supply from abroad safely.”
Maybe Biden has been working tirelessly beginning about 3 days ago! But where has Biden been, since this issue has been looming for months?
Twitter users took to the platform to let Jill Biden know that her marketing campaign for her husband won’t work.
One said: “Typical of this administration to be in panic mode over something they have known about for months! Seems they always react rather than being proactive!”
Another responded with: “We don’t believe you…in fact nothing this administration says is fact or truth.”

Another asked a great question, which is the only one parents really care about and which Jill Biden did not address: “But where can we find baby formula !! Looking for it days and I can not find it”
And that is the biggest question of the day for all new parents. If they have to wait for Abbott Nutrition they will be waiting for at least two more months. Is what Jill Biden said just a marketing campaign to try to save her husband?
