The office of a pro-life politician in Olympia, Washington was firebombed by a group of abortion enthusiasts on Monday. The entire incident was caught on a security camera.
The office of Washington State House Rep Andrew Barkis was targeted by the terrorists. The footage shows two men approaching the office before taking a hammer to one of the windows.
One of the men then lights a flare and throws it inside the building. According to fellow Rep JT Wilcox, the flare landed on a masonry floor and failed to ignite the building as intended. The building is owned by Barkis and leased to the House Republican Organizational Committee.
Rep. Barkis was picked after he sponsored a bill in 2021 that would have helped protect Downs Syndrome babies from discriminatory abortions.
While Representative Barkis has not yet commented on the incident, his colleague who shared the video Rep Wilcox spoke to My Northwest about what happened.
“I think that this is clearly targeted, I don’t think it would be easy to make a case that this was a random event,” Wilcox told the outlet. He cited that the terrorists used a hammer and flare, which he said, “people don’t just have on them.”
Wilcox added, “I wouldn’t pay that much attention to it except now I’ve got two House Republican members around an arson and a shooting in one week.”
Washington Governor Jay Inslee also condemned the attack. The Democrat governor tweeted under the initial video, “Such attempts at violence are abhorrent. We’re thankful no one was hurt. Hopefully law enforcement is able to identify these individuals before they inflict any more harm.”
The attack is one of just a series of attempted arson attacks against pro-life groups nationwide. Even conservative Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was targeted by an assassin last week who turned himself in at the last minute. The violence was sparked after a draft decision to reverse Roe v Wade was leaked from the Court.
Joe Biden warned of “mass casualty events” if Roe v Wade is ended. If this is what they are willing to do before the decision is made, how do you think the radical left will react when the abortion decision is officially reversed?
