The bill now heads to Joe Biden’s desk where he is expected to sign it into law in the coming days when he gets back from his lavish vacation at a beachfront mansion in South Carolina.
As expected, every Republican voted against the legislation, CNBC reports. The GOP has repeadetly argued that the bill will further agitate the existing 40-year-high inflation our country is currently facing.
The $740 billion sending package would allow the government to control the price of prescription medications, raise taxes, contains funding for fighting climate change, expand the IRS by about 87,000 agents, and much more.
At the bill enrollment ceremony, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed that the Republicans who opposed the bill voted against “Mother Earth.”
