WASTE: Biden’s EPA Announces Plans To Throw Billions At “Environmental Justice”

Joe Biden has found a new way to throw money at minority groups by masking it as something productive.

According to the Daily Caller, a new environmental justice office will be launched by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to distribute taxpayer dollars to minority communities affected disproportionately by climate change and pollution.

“With the launch of a new national program office, we are embedding environmental justice and civil rights into the DNA of EPA and ensuring that people who’ve struggled to have their concerns addressed see action to solve the problems they’ve been facing for generations,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan said in a statement.

An EPA press release says the Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights will be responsible for allocating the $3 billion in environmental justice grants mandated by the Democrats’ $370 billion climate spending bill, which is headed by a Senate-confirmed director with 200 staffers.

In addition to ensuring that EPA recipients comply with civil rights laws, the new office will work with other EPA offices to ensure concerns of minority and low-income communities are addressed in the agency’s programs and policies.

In August, Biden signed into law the Democrats’ climate bill, dubbed the “Inflation Reduction Act,” that would spend $60 billion implementing environmental justice. The new office will oversee the $3 billion climate and environmental justice block grant program.

In addition, as noted by the Daily Caller, Biden signed an executive order during his first week in office that launched a series of federal programs aimed at addressing “current and historic environmental injustice.”
