As a result of illegal immigration, crime has spiked to a record high in Arizona, and its citizens are suffering as a result. Despite this, the Biden administration attempted to stop the lawful actions of Arizona’s governor when he attempted to stop the massive spike of criminal acts.
Western Journal reports. Arizona GOP Gov. Doug Ducey did not heed the Biden administration’s demand to remove the shipping containers the state is using to fill in U.S.-Mexico border wall gaps. In fact, the state began filling in more gaps this week.
On his first day in office, President Joe Biden issued an executive order ending construction on the wall the Trump administration was building on the nation’s southern border, leaving many gaps.
Last week, Ducey’s office said the governor did not plan to immediately comply with the Biden administration’s demand to remove shipping containers the state placed on federal and tribal lands to fill some of those gaps in the Yuma Sector, near the Arizona-California state line.
Rather than comply, Ducey filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and other federal officials last Friday.
In a press release Governor Ducey stated “Our border communities are overwhelmed by illegal activity as a result of the Biden administration’s failure to secure the southern border. Arizona is taking action to protest on behalf of our citizens. With this lawsuit, we’re pushing back against efforts by federal bureaucrats to reverse the progress we’ve made,” he continued. “Arizona is taking action to protest on behalf of our citizens. This back and forth between the Arizona governor and the biden Administration was started as Arizona worked to protect its citizens from a mass influx of illegal immigrants.

In a Twitter post, Ducey showed off the temporary barrier near Yuma, which is nearly a quarter-mile long. In the before picture, construction vehicles can be seen in the background and the ground is empty. A series of double-stacked shipping containers topped with razor wire is seen in the after picture. Construction began on a Friday, and the project was completed over the weekend.
Illegal immigrants are more important to Biden’s administration than American citizens. The illegal immigration crisis is affecting border states the most, and Joe Biden isn’t concerned about their plight. Biden and other liberal elites are only concerned about virtue signaling, not American citizens’ safety. Yet, even after Governors Gregg Abbott and Ron Desantis sent illegals to liberal strongholds, they called them racists. The liberal cities, however, declared emergencies and requested federal assistance when they felt only the smallest percentage of what the border states faced every day.
