The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced Wednesday that the GOP will select its presidential nominee for 2024 during its next national convention in Milwaukee between July 15-18, 2024.
NC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement, “We look forward to our continued work with the beautiful city of Milwaukee to make this convention week a success. Republicans will stand united in Milwaukee in 2024 to share our message of freedom and opportunity with the world.”
The gathering is still more than a year and a half away, but it is already attracting attention. Despite the fact that former President Trump is running again for the GOP presidency, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appears to be posing a threat to him.
Many political observers expect DeSantis to run for the White House in 2024, although he hasn’t confirmed it yet.
Milwaukee was chosen to host the convention in August, with McDaniel tweeting at the time, “Milwaukee is a world-class city, and we are eager to see it shine in the spotlight come 2024.”
Milwaukee is a symbolic location for the RNC’s 2024 convention. In 2016, Wisconsin helped Trump win the White House before swinging back to Democrats in 2020.
The trump train is coming and the Republican Party will soon paint the Oval Office red once again! Get ready, because the GOP announcement that its 2024 presidential nominee will be revealed at its national convention in Milwaukee is a sign that the campaign season is well underway. This gathering is already attracting attention, as it could be a major turning point for the party and a chance to set MAGA into motion once again. It’s a symbolic location too; Wisconsin helped Trump win in 2016 with Republican support, before turning back to Democrats in 2020. All eyes are on this day as Republicans prepare for their big reveal.
