New York City, once a city of opportunity and ambition, has gone from the great big apple to a city falling hopelessly out of favor. Times have changed drastically, and the Big Apple is now known more for its harsh hypocritical immigration policies than its flashy center square. Canadian officials were quick to address Mayor Adams with their concerns, criticizing his latest anti-liberal policies on immigration.
The Canadian government, the nation’s second-most populated province, is making a strong demand on Mayor Eric Adams to “immediately” cease his assistance in helping migrants illegally enter Canada. Evidently, Canada is not looking to be conned into dealing with the influx of unwanted people from nearby New York City. This demand is a staunch representation of an authoritative stance against illegal immigration that can be expected on behalf of Biden.
The New York Post reports,
Mayor Eric Adams is being ordered by the government of Canada’s second-most populous province to stop helping migrants enter the country illegally.
A spokesperson for Quebec Premier Francois Legault said “Any form of assistance to migrants crossing the border where it is strictly forbidden to do so should stop immediately.”
He continued, “We understand that the situation of migrants in New York poses major challenges, but the situation in Quebec and particularly in Montreal is even worse and constitutes an important humanitarian issue.”
In a report earlier this month, The Post exclusively revealed that Adams used taxpayer funds to get bus tickets for migrants traveling upstate to Plattsburgh.
It was documented on Feb. 5 in The Post that migrants take taxis and vans to Roxham Road in Champlain, where they walk across the border and surrender to Canadian Mounties to seek asylum.
Legault spokesperson Ewan Sauves said 250 migrants illegally enter Canada each day through the Roxham Road crossing, with most settling in Montreal, Quebec’s largest city.
According to him, the flood of new students has overwhelmed Montreal’s ability to provide housing and other public services.
It’s no surprise that Mayor Eric Adams’ hypocrisy knows no bounds. He doesn’t think twice about using hard-earned tax dollars to get rid of the very same people he pretends to be so open and welcoming to. None of this should be a shock, though – New York is a sanctuary state after all. It just begs the question, if these people weren’t able to handle woke dirty New York, how will they grapple with Canada? It’s definitely something that looks set to entertain us in the weeks and months to come.
