San Fran Mayor Asks For Federal Assistance to Deal Fix Her Crime Policy

The sun may be fading in San Francisco, but it is the citizens of this once thriving city who are really feeling the burn. In recent years, Democrats have had control of the government, yet they have since been unable to find a resolution to the issues they’ve created – something they now expect others to help them fix. San Francisco’s Mayor wants the government to provide her with resources to fix her bad policies.

Politicians promise us change, but sometimes it’s little more than buying off the problem with federal assistance. The mayor of San Francisco recently requested an influx of federal money to help solve the crime crisis in her city. But the citizens of San Francisco know that it wasn’t them who created this crisis – the power lies solely with those in control and they must shoulder the responsibility for fixing their own mistakes.

Fox News Reports, while the streets of San Francisco remain ravaged by drugs, violence, and homelessness, Mayor London Breed is taking drastic steps to combat the city’s spiraling crime crisis.

Ironically, the mayor’s critics have called her a ‘defund the police’ advocate, but the city’s police department is experiencing steep staffing problems amid a looming drug epidemic, so the mayor sought federal assistance.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, “The scale of the problem is beyond our local capacity,” she wrote in a partnership plea to the U.S. Attorney Ismail Ramsey in a March letter.

Because of this, her pro-police critics have slammed her for pivoting on this issue.

Despite the continued outbreak of fentanyl-related overdoses in San Francisco, Breed’s letter focused on curbing the “open-air drug market” in the city.

She wrote: “We need additional and ongoing support from the Department of Justice to arrest and prosecute drug dealers so residents, families, and workers feel safe in their neighborhoods.”

In her state of the city address this year, Breed promised to increase public safety and strengthen policing, as well as curb the drug epidemic in the city.

The San Francisco chief medical examiner’s office reported 131 accidental drug overdose deaths between January and February alone this year.

Have you ever seen anything more pathetic? With this kind of plea, she should have sent in her letter of resignation. We know the federal government will send the aid, but if we had a decent administration they would tell them to figure it out on their own. If it is money they are looking for, that money will not be going towards curbing crime and drugs that’s for certain.
