The 2024 elections are heating up! High-profile democrat names are buzzing and it’s not all for good reason. Already, several players have announced their intention to run, making it quite an exciting time in the political arena. As the campaigns begin to pick up speed, this election will not be one you will want to miss – if you’re passionate about politics.
With the 2024 California Senate race a long way off, Democrats seem to be falling over each other to compete for the spot. Rep. Katie Porter and Rep. Adam Schiff have already indicated their intention to pursue the seat currently held by Sen. Dianne Feinstein. While Feinstein has yet to announce if she will retire or seek reelection, it seems clear that increasing competition within the party may force her to make her move sooner rather than later. Pelosi has expressed her endorsement of Adam Schiff pending the retirement of Diane.
Town Hall reports, California’s Senate race in 2024 is a tricky one. There have been announcements that members of Congress, such as Rep. Katie Porter and Rep. Adam Schiff, are running despite the fact that the current incumbent, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, has already announced her retirement. However, she is 89-years-old and has shown signs of mental decline, and fellow Democrats aren’t waiting.
As of recently, Rep. Nancy Pelosi announced she would support Schiff as long as Sen. Feinstein does not run again.
As Pelosi told the San Francisco Chronicle, “If Senator Feinstein decides to seek re-election, she has my whole-hearted support. If she doesn’t run, I will be supporting House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff, who knows well the nexus between a strong democracy and a strong economy. In his service in the House, he has focused on strengthening our democracy with justice and on building an economy that works for all.”
Schiff, who was a member of the House Intelligence Committee, was formally booted from the panel last week by the successor to Speaker Pelosi, Kevin McCarthy.
After being booted from the intelligence committee, he and renowned racist, Joy Reid, combined their 2 IQ points to figure out why such a horrible thing could have happened to Schiff.
According to The Chronicle, Pelosi’s support for Schiff “is the strongest sign yet that Feinstein won’t run for reelection in 2024,”
Per the Daily Beast Schiff claimed Feinstein had granted him approval to run.
Replacing Feinstein with her male counterpart would indeed make sense. It’s almost a sure thing that Schiff will be accepted in California, as the populous likely sees him as a continuation of the public service she’s been carrying out for them all these years. Anything other than widespread approval of Schiff as their next senator would be highly unusual and shocking since he is essentially the same as Feinstein but in a different package. To reject him would take nothing short of an act of God. Meaning an exhausting amount of prayer in needed to prevent him from succeeding Feinstein.
