Fox Brian Kilmeade & El PASO Mayor Spar Over Handling of Border Crisis

The southern border crisis continues to be a thorn in the side of the United States, and conservative continue to sound like broken records by calling out those accountable. Recently, Fox News Co-host Brian Kilmeade confronted the El Paso mayor for ignoring the problem and failing to hold the Biden administration accountable for their policies. It’s about time someone stood up against the red carpet treatment given to Biden during his January visit to the border.

The debate over the southern border crisis heated up today as Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade confronted El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser over the city’s move to clear the streets of migrants ahead of President Biden’s visit in January 2023. This move, which led to the eviction of migrants from their makeshift shelters and their forced return to Mexico, is just one example of the chaos and lack of accountability that has defined the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis.

“The Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade sparred with Democratic El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser on Wednesday about the border crisis and the city’s efforts to clear migrants ahead of President Joe Biden’s January 2023 visit.

In his criticism, Kilmeade accused Leeser of not holding the administration accountable for the border crisis.

Biden visited the city in January, marking his first trip to the nation’s southern border. Biden met with local nongovernmental organizations offering assistance to illegal migrants. The president did not see the migrants despite hundreds crowding the streets in the hours leading up to Biden’s arrival.

Even the liberal New York Post criticized Biden’s visit at the time, stating:

Yes, it was empty symbolism for barely three hours — but even setting the stage for the gesture had real-world consequences, as border agents and local cops cleared El Paso’s streets of migrants who’d camped out because the city’s shelters are beyond full.

They even sent many back over the border to Mexico, enforcing Biden’s new “get (kind of) tough on refugees from socialist disasters” policy.

Of course, the evicted migrants will start flowing right back as soon as Biden skips town.

The crisis at the southern border is not just a problem for border states, it’s a problem for all Americans. As we’ve seen in El Paso, the consequences of the Biden administration’s inaction on the border crisis are far-reaching and potentially devastating. Mayor Leeser’s decision to clear the streets of migrants during Biden’s visit was a slap in the face to all his constituents who have to deal with the true reality. For the sake of his constituents, he needs to stop covering for an administration that has failed this country on all fronts.
