Johnny Depp won his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, with the jury awarding him $10.35 million in damages. Amber Heard was obviously not pleased with the verdict, and has even said she “can’t” pay it.

Now, Heard has come out and said she does not blame the jury for their multimillion dollar decision, but she does blame social media. In an interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie that will air Tuesday and Wednesday on TODAY and in an hour-long special Friday on Dateline, Heard explains how completely unfair she thinks the trial was.

One person tweeted about her interview: “Amber Heard pre-verdict: ‘I just want to move on. And for Johnny to move on.’ Amber Heard on National TV this week: ‘You Cannot Look Me in the Eye & Tell Me My Trial Was Fair.’ The narcissist craves attention. The victimology tour continues.”

“Even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying, you still couldn’t tell me — look me in the eye and tell me — that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation. You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair,” Heard tells Guthrie, reports TODAY.

Another person tweeted: “Girl this is on you. You were lying. During cross-examination they used your own words against you. Your own evidence and even your witnesses told a completely different story. Best example: Whitney talking about the staircase incident. Look in the mirror please.”

NBC News technology correspondent Jacob Ward said that he predicts others will want to figure out a way to achieve a similar treatment as Depp, reports TODAY. While the court case proceeded, there was a corresponding battle on social media about who was right and who was wrong. Participants in the battle used hashtags to show their loyalty of one side or the other.

“My feeling about the future here is that, putting aside the results here and whether this was in any way coordinated — as you heard there Johnny Depp’s camp say, ‘We did not pay for this, this was organic’ — but if you’re in the public eye, and you’re in crisis, going forward, you’re going look back at this episode, and you’re going to think to yourself, how can I get the treatment that Johnny Depp did?” Ward said.

Depp sued his ex-wife, Amber Heard, for $50 million in damages after a Washington Post op-ed in which Heard said that she was the victim of violence. Depp repeatedly denied the charges and his legal team consistently argued that his reputation and career were damaged because of her allegations. Heard countersued Depp for $100 million.

Heard told Guthrie she doesn’t take the judgements against her personally. She thinks the jury didn’t believe her because Depp is a “beloved character” and “people think they know him” because he’s a “fantastic actor.”

She also referred to Depp’s witnesses as “randos.”

This twitter user thought that was funny, tweeting: “Amber Heard calling witnesses including Kate Moss randos is the funniest and most offensive shit i saw today. You are not helping yourself here.”

Amber Heard always appears to be acting. When she talks, she appears to be delivering memorized lines. Do you think Amber Heard is correct, that she lost because of social media and because of how much people love Johnny Depp’s acting?
